Parenting of a Sporty Child

We were invited by Vibgyor High, Malad East to render a talk on “Parenting a Sporty Kid”. Sports is a quintessential aspect of our life and the earlier we understand its role the better will be future of our Nation. It was a very fulfilling event for us to interact with over 150 parents of the kids aging from 8 years to 14 years. The best part was to have many known faces in the audience. Wish to thank the most dynamic and proactive coach Kevin Lalu Erattaplamoottil and the ever-smiling coach Pravin Patil, for inviting us to this prestigious platform.
Its time to thank my team Khadija Patanwala and Ulka Kalhapure Parab without their efforts the event wouldnt have been successful.

Sex Education of Parents and Children, Parya Mukhya Vidyalaya 4th Jan 2018

I was invited in the Pariya Mukhya Vidyalay on 4th Jan 2018 to deliver a talk on Prevention of Children’s Sexual Abuse. Nowadays this is not an unusual incidence for me, my interest about working for the better society is a well-known entity, so me being invited for this talk was a routine thing for me. However, once the day was approaching the teacher who had arranged for the talk called up asking what special arrangements I need? So I enquired about their occasion, and I was amazed that the school had gone out of the way to arrange for a special programme marking my presence in the small village. Kids from the school presented a welcome song, garbha and a de-addiction street play. Teachers were running about carrying out the errands all by themselves, later got to know that the Govt schools don’t have any peons or clerks. Teachers are the only staff the school has and they left no stone unturned to make us feel welcomed.
My topic was “Prevention of Children’s Sexual Abuse”. This time the talk was exclusively in Hindi. I have to admit it was a task to translate the terminologies in pure Hindi and at times in Gujrati, however I love challenges so it was a great journey for me.
Highlight of the event was the small workshop of 20 mins which I conducted for students from class 1 to 8, on Prevention of Sexual abuse and children’s safety.
I wish to thank the Pariya Mukhya VIdyalay, Pariya, Valsad and a special mention to Ms
Shivani Kamal Patel
, the hardworking teacher who made it possible.

ADOLESCENCE for girls July 2017

Conducted a workshop at VIBGYOR High Malad East, on ADOLESCENCE for girls of Grade 6 & 7. I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the school for their vision and focus at the development of kids in a holistic way.

The most interesting part was answering queries of the young minds. Children of today are exposed to so many things and their curious mind takes them on a ride all the time, they require a proper and authentic source to resolve their queries otherwise the risk of them getting misguided is very high. In this light I was very happy to answer their questions and extend some relief. Hope that all the kids get such a vent wherein they can resolve their curiosity…………

Motivational Team Building Talk

Vibgyor High School.

Vibgyor High School, Malad East, had invited me to give a motivational talk to the Under-14 girls Basketball team, about to represent the school in the upcoming DSO tournament. In spite of the ongoing examinations in the school the girl’s team was present with full vigor and excitement for Basketball.

I really wish to thank Mr Kevin, the basketball coach, for considering counselling for such a wonderful team.

I enjoyed the bubbliness of the girls and their spontaneous participation in the interactive session made the whole experience a very beneficial as well as pleasurable journey.

I wish to appreciate Mrs Padmaja Kutti, the VP, Vibgyor High, Malad East, who in spite of her busy schedule came for the event.

The talk encompassed following points:

  1. Importance of Relaxation
  2. Team building activity
  3. Right attitude for sports
  4. Healthy mind and body.

Sharing a few pictures of the event…..

Rational Parenting workshop

In my endeavour to support parents to be at ease with the job of Parenting, got an opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas at S E International School at Borivali on 30th July 2016.

Parenting; a job which comes without any prerequisite qualifications and demands a major portion of anyone’s productive life. No one can actually better prepare you for this job than your own child but still one requires guidance on this path.

At Happiness Homoeopathic Clinic, we help parents see the light and facilitate this beautiful journey.

At S E International School, many topics were touched upon like Goal setting, Pros and cons of Praise etc, which was received very well by approximately 100+ young parents and teachers of the school.

The enthusiastic audience raised many questions and got satisfactory answers to the same, it was a great experience to have an interactive session of 2 hours, of brain storming.

I wish to thank the school and management to undertake such a responsible cause and walk the path with parents on this task of Nation Building.

I as a trainer got very constructive feedback from the audience along with loads of appreciation.

Sharing herewith a few glimpses of the event.

I am on an endeavor to promote healthy parenting, prevention of child abuse and especially sexual abuse since past couple of years. One of such events was cohosted by Lion’s Club of Gokuldham and Happiness Homoeopathic Clinic at the Chandrabhaga Vidyalay, a marathi medium school, for the parents of high school children on 18th April 2016.

Approximately 80 parents, entire staff of the school and esteemed members of Lion’s Club were amonst the audience, who received my ideas very receptively and was one of the most interactive audience.

I wish to thank Mrs Navneeta Parmar fro giving me an opportunity to interact with the parents.
