Be Yourself:
“Me time”: “Meditate”
Oftentimes people find it difficult to stay still. This reminds me of a game we used to play in childhood, called statue we used to say this pointing two fingers at any friend and would catch them off guard, the friend at whom we have pointed the finger has to freeze and stay in the same posture without moving till the time we say “go”. It would be really funny to watch kids become statues, those who had better determination and concentration could stay focused and would maintain their posture long but some would just not be able to do it.

A couple of years ago, a video had gone viral about a running race. One of the participants had sprained her ankle and fallen down. Before her fall, she was in the first place. The second-place runner ran past her and then returned to this fallen athlete, helped her stand up and both of them crossed the finishing line together. This benevolent act of kindness, this impeccable response of being able to give up what you have, made the runner immensely happy. It brought about a sense of fulfillment in this second Runner without winning the competition. There are innumerable examples wherein the act of kindness alone has brought about social revolution. Research shows that the one who gives is always more satisfied and happy than the one who gets it. So if you want to be happy, do more for others.
Future Focus
One must have something to look forward to. If you have a rough patch plan ahead set a positive achievable goal, set some destination where you want to reach a point of focus always feel the desire to work hard, and maintains motivation this reminds me of the story of Akbar Birbal, one thief is caught red-handed with the loot by King Akbar’s soldiers. They present him in the durbar. The thief accepts his guilt and since it was a petty theft he was given just one-night imprisonment but since prisons were full, he was asked to stand in a lake throughout the night.


Future Focus

Exercise
If you are feeling blue simply get up and walk. Exercise has a chemical response in your body, a simple exercise of walking releases happy hormones called endorphins in your body. Just walking for an hour can give you this instant boost but this is not the only benefit, exercise can reduce anxiety, stress and will give you an immense sense of achievement. Daily exercise with that one extra repetition will give a tiny boost to your ego and a sense of achievement which is going to give you a lasting happiness state so if you want to be happy go sweat it out.
